Kale is a real superfood. It contains a lot of fibre and makes you feel full and satisfied for a long time. It’s also rich in vitamins A, B, C and K, minerals and micronutrients and perfect for healthy winter dishes. Just like this warming Kale Soup with Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce that is also ideal for batch cooking.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ingredients for 4 portions:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 big onion, chopped⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tbs butter or clarified butter⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
400 g kale (fresh or frozen)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
250 g mealy cooking potatoes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
700 ml vegetable stock⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
150 ml cream⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tbs Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pepper and nutmeg, to taste⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
100 g diced chorizo, to taste⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Preparation:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dice the onions, melt the butter in the pan and sauté the onions until they are lightly browned. In the meantime, wash the kale and chop finely. Peel potatoes and cut into cubes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When the onions are browned, add the chorizo and pan fry briefly. Then deglaze with vegetable stock. Ad potatoes and kale and bring to boil. Let the soup simmer at least 20 minutes, until the potatoes are cooked. Take from the stove and purèe with a hand blender until creamy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Add cream, season with Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce, pepper and nutmeg. Stir well and serve hot.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Tipp: Kale soup is perfect for batch cooking. Just boil twice the amount. The soup can be kept in the fridge for up to three days, in the freezer for up to two months. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
