Brownies don’t always have to be unhealthy and full of sugar. At least when it comes to bean brownies. Baking with beans? Yeah, you heard right. This is all the rage right now. Have you ever tried it?
Bean Brownies
Dough:
1 tin of white beans (250g drained net weight)
40 g oat flakes
40 g coconut oil
5 tbsp raw cocoa powder, unsweetened
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp. agave syrup
2 tbsp. Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Sweet Soy Sauce
50 ml water
Glaze:
4 tsp raw cocoa powder, unsweetened
2 tsp coconut oil
2 tsp agave syrup
2 tbsp milk

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 175 °C (top-bottom heat). Wash beans & drain. Then grease a low baking tin. For the dough crush and mix all ingredients until a smooth dough is made.
Pour the dough into a greased tin and bake for approx. 15-20 minutes. Let the brownies cool down well.
For the glaze, heat all ingredients slowly and stir well so that there are no lumps left. Pour over the brownies and let everything cool down again before serving.
Tip: The bean brownies stay fresh at room temperature for about 4 days.
